Recover editable text, not the original layout
Use this converter when a PDF contains selectable text that you want to quote, rewrite or organize in Word. It creates an actual DOCX document with editable paragraphs and page breaks. Images, tables, columns and original font styling are not reconstructed. A complex reading order may need manual correction after conversion.
Review before sharing
The extracted-text panel lets you inspect the content before downloading. Open the DOCX in a compatible editor and check names, numbers, punctuation and page boundaries. If a PDF is a scan without a text layer, the converter reports that OCR is needed instead of producing an empty document.
Using PDF to Word (text only)
Text and page breaks only. Images, tables, fonts and original layout are not reconstructed. Scanned pages require OCR.
- Choose a PDF containing selectable text.
- Convert the file and review the extracted text.
- Download the DOCX, open it in a Word-compatible editor and reformat as needed.
Limits and checks
Up to 250 pages per input PDF and 100 MB per batch. Encrypted or malformed files may not open.
Frequently asked questions
Will the DOCX look identical to my PDF?
No. This is a text-only conversion with page breaks. It does not rebuild images, columns, tables, original fonts or forms. Reading order may need correction, and scanned PDFs require OCR.
Is my content sent to a server?
No. Processing runs inside your browser. Optional editor recovery saves a draft on this device only. Read the privacy policy.
Will my original file be changed?
No. Downloaded results are separate copies. Open the finished output before sharing it or deleting an original.
