Using Compress PDF
Structural optimization preserves text and may have modest savings. Image mode rebuilds pages as JPEG images and removes search, links and forms.
- Open the source PDF and keep a backup.
- Try structural mode first; choose image mode only if losing text and forms is acceptable.
- Compare output size and small-text legibility before using the result.
Limits and checks
Up to 250 pages per input PDF and 100 MB per batch. Encrypted or malformed files may not open.
Frequently asked questions
Why can a compressed PDF get larger?
Already-optimized documents may have little redundant structure. Keep the original when the output is larger or less readable.
Is my content sent to a server?
No. Processing runs inside your browser. Optional editor recovery saves a draft on this device only. Read the privacy policy.
Will my original file be changed?
No. Downloaded results are separate copies. Open the finished output before sharing it or deleting an original.
